Vodafone M2M - Machine to Machine was a Smart Cities proof of concept developed for Vodafone Portugal and taken to market with Portuguese municipal councils.
The project centred on a web portal aggregating multiple Smart Cities solutions into a single interface, giving municipalities quick access to real-time data across three areas: smart parking, waste management, and vending. Each solution was supported by its own data dashboard, designed to surface key metrics and support decision-making at a municipal level.
Designed and built as part of a team, the work covered UX, UI and frontend development — from dashboard design and data visualisation to HTML, SASS and JavaScript implementation.
The proof of concept was presented to multiple Portuguese municipal councils and tested directly with them, moving well beyond an internal prototype into real municipal validation.
