ALDI Süd's Enterprise Data Products initiative required a structured approach to knowledge sharing and onboarding across technical teams. The challenge was not product design in the traditional sense, but information architecture and documentation design — making complex technical information clear, consistent, and accessible.
Working as the sole designer alongside analysts and stakeholders, the work involved developing dedicated templates and page structures within Confluence, establishing documentation standards that teams could apply consistently going forward.
A project that sits closer to DesignOps than product design — and a reminder that good design thinking applies just as much to internal knowledge systems as it does to consumer-facing products.
